Our millenium project<\/h1>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In the summer of 2000, we bought this old farmhouse in Gascony, at the foot of the Pyrenees, between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. It was a solid adobe house that had unfortunately suffered a lot in recent years, as it hadn’t been lived in for a long time and the roof wasn’t watertight. A lot of work lay ahead.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Today, more than 20 years later, the house has been completely renovated by us and converted into two self-contained vacation apartments. We ourselves live in a straw-bale house that we also built ourselves on the same plot, and we look after the rental and reception of our guests.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Mission<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Living on and off our farm as self-sufficiently as possible and with respect for the environment, we produce solar energy for ourselves, our mobility and even other households. Even our hot water is heated by the sun and connected to the heating system. Waste sorting is a matter of course, and we use low-energy appliances wherever possible.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Vision<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Move towards a world without fossil fuels and as little dependence on polluting industries as possible. To preserve the world for future generations. To leave this place more beautiful than we found it, and offer people and animals a peaceful refuge.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
